
The CME Group Tour Championship is a women’s professional golf tournament, the season-ending event of the LPGA Tour.
It succeeded the LPGA Tour Championship, which was played for two seasons in 2009 and 2010.
From 2011 to 2013 the tournament was called the CME Group Titleholders.
The grand finale of the 2018 LPGA Tour season, the CME Group Tour Championship, will be played at the Tiburón Golf Club located at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples November 12-18.
The CME Group Tour Championship brings the world’s best players to Southwest Florida in a unique, season-long point based qualifying format. Last year, Lexi Thompson won the $1 million Race to the CME Globe for the first time, while Ariya Jutanugarn took home the $500,000 winners check and Tournament Champion title.
The “Race to the CME Globe” is a season-long points program that showcases the best performing players from the 2018 LPGA Tour season, and also highlights each and every title sponsor on the LPGA Tour.
